Overview
Grindstone Stables is a South Jersey equestrian business offering lessons, guided rides, and boarding with a focus on connection, good care, and community. Before the redesign, the business didn’t have a cohesive digital presence - information lived only on social media, making it difficult for potential clients to get a clear sense of offerings or reach out directly.
Duck Soup Digital was brought on to design and develop a website that would give Grindstone Stables a professional online identity, strengthen credibility, and create a space that reflects the stable’s grounded, approachable personality.
Goals
The primary objectives for the website design were to:
-Build a clean, professional website that reflects Grindstone Stables’ values and welcoming atmosphere.
-Present information about lessons, guided rides, and boarding in a clear, visually engaging way.
-Highlight the horses, facilities, and South Jersey setting through strong imagery.

The new site was organized around Grindstone Stables’ core focus areas - Lessons, Guided Rides, Boarding, Training, Horses, and Community. Each page was designed to capture the stable’s personality while giving visitors an easy way to learn about what the stable offers and what makes it unique.
This structure provides a clear overview without overwhelming detail - users can quickly explore the environment, meet the horses, and connect directly through built-in forms. Each page blends short, approachable copy with full-width imagery that gives a true sense of place and character.
Visually, the design balances rustic charm with clean modernity. Warm earth tones, simple typography, and natural textures evoke the feel of the barn while maintaining a polished, professional finish. The homepage opens with impactful photography and straightforward navigation, guiding users toward lessons, rides, boarding, or contact details.
Every element was built for clarity and approachability - a site that feels down-to-earth but distinctly professional, built to reflect both the people and horses that define the business.
Accessibility and Experience
Accessibility and usability were priorities throughout the build. The site features large tap targets, mobile-friendly layouts, and readable contrast for all text and buttons - ideal for users browsing on their phones between rides or lessons.
The Wix content management system allows the Grindstone Stables team to update text, images, and announcements independently, ensuring the site stays current without outside support.
Results
Since launch, the Grindstone Stables website has become the go-to hub for new and returning riders. Visitors can now:
